Who we are

MathInstructor AI is operated by Northern Tech LTD, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us"). When you use MathInstructor AI or buy a subscription, you are contracting with Northern Tech LTD. Contact us at support@northerntechltd.com.

Accepting these terms

By using MathInstructor AI, or by continuing to use it after these terms change, you agree to these terms. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and supervise your use.

The service

MathInstructor AI turns maths questions into AI-generated narrated lessons, worked solutions, quizzes and tutor chat, aligned to the UK curriculum from KS2 to GCSE. Free accounts get 3 lessons in total. Pro gives the features listed on our pricing page.

Your account

Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your details accurate and up to date.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, or to send spam;
  • submit content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property;
  • try to make the AI produce harmful content, bypass its safeguards ("jailbreaking"), or create deceptive content about real people;
  • upload malware, probe or attack our systems, scrape the service, or get around usage limits;
  • reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.

AI content and accuracy

Lessons and answers are generated by AI and can contain mistakes. Always check important working, and do not rely on the service as a substitute for a teacher, exam board guidance or professional advice. You are responsible for the questions you submit, for having the right to submit them, and for how you use the output.

We may filter, refuse, remove or restrict content and suspend accounts to keep the service safe.

Intellectual property

Northern Tech LTD owns the service, including its software, design, documentation and branding. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use it within your plan. You keep any rights you have in your questions and photos, and give us permission to process them only to provide the service. You may use lessons generated for you for personal study.

If you believe content on the service infringes your rights, email support@northerntechltd.com and we will review and remove it where appropriate. Accounts that repeatedly infringe will be closed.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, renewal, tax and cancellation are covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled; you can cancel any time from your account page. See our Refund Policy.

Availability

We work hard to keep MathInstructor AI running, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously break our rules. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. When an account ends, we delete its saved lessons and progress within a reasonable period.

Liability

Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

General

We may update these terms and will show the new date above. Events beyond our reasonable control excuse delays. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
